Pilot Project
A pilot project is an initial step taken on a smaller scale to evaluate the feasibility of design principles before the larger scale deployment. It enables the collection of data, identification of potential problems, and informed decision-making before investing in the project’s full implementation.
In contexts involving cultural change, pilot projects facilitate the project’s adoption by enabling future users to interact with the proposed developments, offer feedback, and have their comments integrated into the development that will be deployed throughout the relevant spaces. This process not only shapes the final project, but also helps to generate critical interest and build support for the project as it moves forward.
