CAE – Grande Ourse
To follow up on the pilot projects’ big success, and to maintain the employee engagement in the master plan and renovation process, we proposed that the first area to be renovated should be developed in collaboration with the employees that would occupy the space.
Through multiple codesign and co-creation workshops guided by the AMA project team — who were the guardians of the new standards’ application — CAE employees planned their new workspace, proposed where workstations should be located in relation to collaborative and social spaces, selected the typical furniture for each section, determined the kind of atmosphere that most spoke to them through materials, finishes and colours proposed in the master plan, and also developed a series of graffiti that were later turned into murals that now decorate the walls of the communal areas. These activities strongly supported the feelings of belonging and engagement of the employees, as they could recognize themselves in the spaces designed by and for them.
